His experience writing for a wide audience of relative newbies, as well as seasoned pros in the industry, translates well into this more comprehensive volume. The book specifically covers mixing, not recording, starting with the assumption that you have a tracked project in front of you ready to mix (or that you’ve just received from a client).

Music is revolution foundation

Finally, we all occasionally get stuck somewhere along the way. It’s easy to want to throw your computer out the window in frustration when your production software isn’t working right. Having someone you can reach out to in order to answer your immediate questions and help you overcome these hurdles is a critical part of making real progress.

I find that Ariana Grande’s “Thank u, next” has a similar message of saying “bye bye bye” to a lover. Grande is herself a pop princess and I love that today, this one woman is breaking all of the pop records, because some of those records were previously held by boy bands like Exhibit A above. The industry is still male-dominated, but at least we’ve got a few femmes like Grande killing it. Speaking of which…

Dre DiMura is a professional guitarist, songwriter, and author. While his friends were studying for the SATs, Dre was already touring the world with Gloria Gaynor, Dee Snider, Palaye Royale and Evol Walks. He’s a musician and he’s played one on TV too. You may see him at your local enormo-dome on tour with Diamanté.
